Looking for the best Puerto Vallarta water parks? I live in PV and love visiting the parks with friends – here’s a round-up of the best ones to visit.
Even though Puerto Vallarta has plenty of places to take a dip in the ocean, there is a lot to be said for going with a curated waterpark instead. There are no waves, no jellyfish, and no need to worry about sand getting in your shoes.
Puerto Vallarta only has a couple of water parks. This guide will compare them based on admission price, location, and notable special features.

Best water parks in Puerto Vallarta
#1. Aquaventuras Park – Nuevo Vallarta
Aquaventuras Park, located right at the entrance to Nuevo Vallarta, is the premier water park in Puerto Vallarta. This place has over 10 water slides to choose, a number of excellent pools, and lazy tubing!
There are fountains and water features all over the place. I had so much fun spending the day here with a group of friends going down the slides, drinking beers, and chilling in the tubes.
Or if you’re a family, it’s also a great place for kids to run around and tire themselves out. Meanwhile, you can watch from the leisure of a beach chair and a cold beverage.
Aquaventuras also offers multiple swim-with-dolphin programs, however, I don’t recommend doing this as it is very unethical to swim with captive dolphins. Instead, you should see them in their natural habitat in the Bay of Banderas.
- Location: At the entrance to the Nuevo Vallarta tourist zone
- Admission: $20 USD to $35 USD
#2. Ocean Mania Tour – Vallarta Adventures
On the south end of the Bay of Banderas is a naturally formed ocean waterpark complete with a waterslide, zip line, ropes course, blob launcher, banana boat, speed boat, snorkeling area, and more.
Ocean Mania Water Park is also home to a community of happy sea lions who are eager to make new friends.
The Ocean Mania water park is more expensive than Aquaventuras, but there are a lot more activities built into the price.
You can take part in as much adventure as you want and skip out on the activities you’re not interested in. This is a great one for families with children or any group that has some excess energy to spend.
To get to Ocean Mania water park, you’ll need to book this 5-hour experience. Vallarta Adventures will pick you up from your hotel and take care of the rest, including lunch!
- Location: Departs from Vallarta Adventures in Nuevo Vallarta
- Admission: ~$150 USD
- Notable features: Significant amount of exciting activities to choose from
#3. The Splash Inn and Waterpark
Right off the Tepic-Puerto Vallarta highway is The Splash Inn, a small hotel that has its own charming little waterpark. Hotel guests have access to the waterpark included with their stay. Alternatively, you can drop by for the day and enjoy the park for only a few bucks.
The Splash Inn waterpark isn’t as big as Aquaventuras but has a good collection of well-built waterslides. There are multiple pools available, and it tends to be less crowded than Aquaventuras.
The hotel has a fitness center and a small restaurant. Rooms are only about $ 50 USD per night. It’s a good budget-friendly hotel for families, and it’s easy to get to.
- Location: Tepic 163, Colonia Jacarandas, 63735 Nuevo Vallarta, Nay.
- Admission: $190 – $280 pesos
- Notable features: Swim with dolphin programs, zip line, climbing wall (additional fees apply)
#4. Crown Paradise Club All-Inclusive Resort
The Crown Paradise Club is getting a special mention on our list because of its fabulous in-house waterpark. Geared towards children, this water wonderland has 7 slides and its own explorable pirate ship, making it the best Puerto Vallarta waterpark for kids.
The Crown Paradise also has its own staff of experienced, attentive lifeguards. For the adults, there are multiple lounging pools and a deluxe hydro-massage hot tub, as well as an infinity pool and swim-up bar.
The only way to visit the Crown Paradise water park is to stay there. But with affordable all-inclusive packages and a great location, that’s not a hard decision to make.
- Location: Avenida De Las Garzas 3 Zona Hotelera Norte, Puerto Vallarta 48333 Mexico
- Admission: Included with stay
- Notable features: Best Puerto Vallarta water park for younger kids
